Data has also appeared about the Google Tensor 2 chipset. As in the previous version, it has three clusters, including two main cores, two high-performance ones, and four energy-efficient ones. In addition, the device will receive a Cirrus Logic CS40|26 tactile sensor and an NFC chip from STMicrolectronics.
The source was also able to obtain code names for yet-to-be-revealed gadgets, including “panther”, “cheetah” and “felix”, which are used on the Pixel 7, 7 Pro and 7a models. Curiously, the Pixel 7a has not even been announced yet, and its release will take place only next year.
The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are due out around October this year, as is Google’s first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch.
