NICOLE MAKES LANDFALL: Radar images from Miami and Melbourne show the center of Nicole landed on North Hutchinson Island, south of Vero Beach, on the east coast of the Florida Peninsula. Maximum sustained winds are estimated at 120 km/h (75 mph) and minimum central pressure at 981 mb (28.97 in).
With Nicole’s landing, it will now be the most recent recorded landing on Florida’s east coast.
